Find Your Match

The right shade is the key to a seamless blend. Match your extensions to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair rather than the roots.

  • Match your mid-lengths to ends
  • Use natural daylight
  • When in doubt, go slightly lighter

How Long Should You Go?

Your ideal length depends on your natural hair, your daily style, and how dramatic you want the final look to be.

Tip: For extra thickness, choose a higher gram weight.

How to Apply Extensions

Clip-Ins

Clip-ins are the easiest choice for instant length and volume. No salon visit needed — just section, clip, and style.

1. Prep the Hair

Start with dry, detangled hair. Lightly tease the roots if you want extra grip.

2. Section Your Hair

Create a horizontal part starting near the nape of your neck.

3. Clip in the Wefts

Open the clips, place the weft close to the roots, then snap the clips shut.

4. Layer Up

Add larger wefts through the middle of your head and smaller pieces near the sides.

5. Blend and Style

Brush gently and style your natural hair with the extensions for a seamless finish.

Tape-Ins

Tape-ins are best for a flat, natural, semi-permanent install. For the most secure result, we recommend professional application.

1. Start Clean and Dry

Hair should be freshly washed, fully dry, and free from oils or heavy conditioner near the roots.

2. Create Thin Sections

Part a thin horizontal layer of hair. The section should be light enough for the tapes to seal properly.

3. Apply the First Tape

Place one tape-in weft under the section, close to the root but not too tight.

4. Seal the Sandwich

Place another tape weft on top, pressing both pieces together with your natural hair in between.

5. Press Firmly

Use your fingers or a flat plier tool to secure the bond.

6. Let It Set

Avoid washing for 24–48 hours after installation.

Weft Hair

Weft hair is a salon-favorite method for fuller, longer-lasting volume. It works beautifully for sew-in or beaded row installs.

1. Consult Your Stylist

Choose the right weft type, amount, and placement for your hair density.

2. Prepare the Hair

Hair should be clean, dry, and detangled before installation.

3. Create the Foundation

Your stylist will create a secure base using braids, beads, or another preferred method.

4. Attach the Weft

The weft is sewn or secured onto the foundation in neat rows.

5. Trim and Blend

Your stylist may trim the ends and layer the hair for a natural flow.

6. Style Together

Curl or wave your natural hair and extensions together for the best blend.

Halo Hair

Halo hair is a simple, no-glue, no-clip option for quick length and volume. It sits comfortably with an invisible wire.

1. Brush Your Hair

Detangle your natural hair and the halo piece before wearing.

2. Place the Halo

Position the wire around the crown of your head, like a headband.

3. Pull Hair Over the Wire

Use a tail comb to gently pull your natural hair over the wire until it is hidden.

4. Adjust the Fit

Make sure the halo feels secure but not tight.

5. Blend the Ends

Brush lightly and style as needed for a soft, natural finish.

Ponytail Extensions

Ponytail extensions are perfect for fast glam. They add instant length, bounce, and fullness in seconds.

1. Tie Your Natural Ponytail

Create a secure ponytail at your preferred height.

2. Attach the Extension

Place the comb or clip into the base of your ponytail.

3. Wrap the Base

Use the wrap-around strand to cover the band and create a polished finish.

4. Secure with Pins

Pin the wrap piece in place so it stays neat.

5. Style the Ponytail

Brush gently and add curls, waves, or a sleek finish.

Flat Tip

Flat tips use keratin bonds with a smooth, flat shape for a secure and natural-looking install. Best applied by a trained stylist.

1. Section the Hair

Your stylist will create small, clean sections for each bond.

2. Place the Flat Tip

One flat tip strand is placed close to the root, leaving enough space for comfort.

3. Heat and Seal

A professional heat tool melts the keratin bond around your natural hair.

4. Shape the Bond

The bond is pressed flat for a smooth, discreet finish.

5. Repeat Evenly

Strands are applied in balanced rows for natural movement.

6. Blend and Style

Hair is trimmed and styled to match your desired look.

I Tip

I tips are strand-by-strand extensions applied with micro beads, with no heat or glue required.

1. Prepare Small Sections

Your stylist separates small sections of natural hair.

2. Add the Micro Bead

A bead is placed onto the hair section using a loop tool.

3. Insert the I Tip

The I tip strand is placed into the bead.

4. Clamp Securely

The bead is gently clamped flat to hold the extension in place.

5. Continue Placement

The stylist repeats the process row by row for even fullness.

6. Blend the Finish

The hair is trimmed, layered, and styled for natural movement.

How to Care for Your Extensions

Washing

Wash gently and only when needed to keep the hair soft and smooth.

1. Detangle First

Brush your extensions before washing to remove knots. Start from the ends and work upward.

2. Use Gentle Shampoo

Wash with sulfate-free shampoo. Avoid harsh products that can make the hair dry.

3. Condition the Lengths

Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends.

Avoid the roots, tapes, clips, or bonds.

4. Rinse Well

Make sure no product is left on the hair, as buildup can make extensions feel heavy.

5. Air Dry When Possible

Gently squeeze out water with a towel and let the hair air dry. Avoid rubbing or twisting.

Brushing

Brush with care to prevent tangling and shedding.

1. Use the Right Brush

A loop brush, wide-tooth comb, or soft extension brush works best.

2. Start From the Ends

Hold the hair near the top and brush from the ends upward to reduce pulling.

3. Brush Before and After Wear

For clip-ins, halo, and ponytail extensions, brush before applying and after removing.

4. Be Gentle Around Attachments

For tape-ins, wefts, flat tips, and I tips, avoid pulling directly on the roots or bonds.

5. Keep Hair Smooth Daily

Light brushing throughout the day helps keep the hair neat and blended.

Styling

Style your extensions with heat, but protect the hair first.

1. Apply Heat Protectant

Always use a heat protectant before curling, waving, or straightening.

2. Use Moderate Heat

Keep the heat at a medium setting. Too much heat can make the hair dry over time.

3. Style With Your Natural Hair

Curl or wave your natural hair and extensions together for a seamless blend.

4. Avoid Heavy Products

Stay away from too much oil, gel, or hairspray, as buildup can make the hair feel sticky or dull.

5. Let Curls Cool

After curling, let the hair cool before brushing for a softer, longer-lasting style.

Storage

Store extensions properly so they stay smooth, clean, and ready to wear.

1. Store Dry Only

Never store extensions while damp. Make sure the hair is fully dry first.

2. Brush Before Storing

Gently detangle the hair to prevent knots.

3. Keep Them Flat or Hanging

Store clip-ins, halo, or ponytail extensions in a silk bag, storage box, or hanger. 4. Avoid Sunlight and Moisture

Keep them away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat.

5. Protect the Hair Shape

For curled styles, loosely wrap or lay the hair in the same direction to help maintain the shape.

FAQs for Beginners

Will Extensions Damage My Natural Hair?

When applied and removed correctly, extensions should not damage your natural hair. Choose the right method and avoid pulling or sleeping with tangled hair.

Can I Sleep In My Extensions?

For clip-ins, halo, and ponytail extensions, remove them before sleeping. For semi-permanent methods like tape-ins or wefts, tie your hair loosely before bed.

Can I Dye Or Tone My Extensions?

Human hair extensions can often be toned or colored darker, but we recommend professional coloring to protect the hair quality.

How Long Do Extensions Last?

Lifespan depends on the extension type, how often you wear them, and how well you care for them. Gentle care helps them stay soft and beautiful longer.
